A big congrats to Jenna, who won the People’s Choice award last week for her presentation at the Three Minute Thesis competition, where graduate students must present their research in only 3 minutes. Her talk was about antibiotic tolerance (see here for Jenna’s article about this topic) in Staph infections (here's a link with the videos of the three winners from UNC this year if you’re interested). She also passed her qualifying exams, making her officially a PhD candidate and marking her next big step on the journey to a PhD. Keep it up, Jenna!
